Summary:

The book retells six love stories from the bible. The first story is about Samson and Delilah. Samson falls in love with Delilah at first sight. The Philistines wanted to kill Samson, and when they found out that Delilah was with him, they paid her money to find out what was his weakness. At first, Samson lied to Delilah by not telling her the truth of what her weakness, but eventually, he told her. Samson would become weak if his hair were cut. Delilah said the Philistines, and they cut his hair, which made him vulnerable. Samson ended up giving his life to protect others. The second story is about Reuben and Joseph. The story is about how Joseph being abandoned by his brothers many years ago. After many years he saw them again and wanted to get some revenge. His younger brother Reuben was the only one that treated him well. He separated Reuben and spoke to him separately. In the end, he forgave his brothers because of the love he felt for them. The third story is about Ruth and Naomi. This story talks about the devotion and love they felt for each other. Ruth followed Naomi everywhere she went and was very devoted to her. The fourth story is about Abraham and Isaac. The story is about the love a father has for a son. When Isaac was born, Abraham was already an older man so when God told Abraham that he would have to sacrifice his son Isaac. Abraham was very hesitant, but like he loved God, he went along with the plan. In the end, nothing happened to Isaac, and God was able to see the love Abraham felt for him and his son Isaac. The fifth story is about Zillah and Lot. The story is about a city named Gamora that was going to destroy, and Lot had to protect his family from the danger that was about to happen. The sixth story is about Aser and Camiel. The story is about a friendship that two people had and the love they had for each other.


Strength:

This book teaches six stores from the bible. This book had fascinating stories that will capture the attention of the readers. Those who don't know the biblical stories will find it to be very interesting, but to those who do know the stories will see more detail in the stories. The students will find this book to have good stories, and they are enjoyable to read.
