Holm, J & M. (2017). Comics Squad. New York, NY: Random House.

Summary:

From a series of stories, this book is about how the main characters in each story got sent to detention. All the characters were sent to detention for doing something bad, and others were trying to get sent to detention voluntarily. Although each child was placed in detention because of different circumstances, the children experienced many various adventures and learned many valuable lesson through the experiences they encountered.

Strength: The book teaches children that there is going to be a time where we will get in trouble, and that is okay. The essential message students should learn is that when we get in trouble, we have to pay the consequences, but at the same time, the students also need to learn from their mistakes.
