Summary:
Beekle was born on a far away island where imaginary friends were created. All the imaginary friends that were created will stand under the stars hoping that a child will pick them. Beekle waited for many nights, and his turn never came. So rather than waiting, Beekle did the unimaginable and went out to look for his friend. When he reached the real world, he thought it was a strange place. He finally saw a familiar place and had a good feeling about it, but he still couldn't find his friend. He climbed a tree to look for his friend, but again, no one came. He was feeling sad when he finally heard a voice from below. Alice looked familiar and friendly, and he just felt right. After a while, they realized that they were perfect together. Beekle and Alice had many fun adventures and told each other funny jokes. Together they both did the unimaginable.
Strength:
The book talks about friendship, courage, and imagination. This book teaches the students that if you have courage and imagination, you will be able to make friends. It is not easy when you feel like you don't belong, but with courage, you can find where you belong. The illustrations are wonderful and tell a story itself.
