Baseball was all they played after they were free. It was the best sport ever. The black players wanted to play baseball, so they joined the professional baseball league. One of the baseball players invented shin guards because of the mistreatment he received during one of the baseball games he played. Although they were outstanding players, white baseball players didn't want to play with them. Little by little black baseball players stopped playing in the major leagues.
