Summary:
Being a woman of color in the old days was not easy. Rosa Parks was sent home one day early from work because her mother was sick. She got on the bus and sat in a neutral place. In one of the stops, a white-colored man gets on the bus, and the bus driver demands Rosa to move from her seat. Rosa was ignoring the bus driver and his threats; she didn't move from her place. Rosa got arrested, and that made a lot of people outraged that they decided not to ride the bus anymore. The strike was so substantial that it got the attention of the US government. Rosa Parks made a difference in segregation, and because of her, people can ride the bus freely.
Strength:
The book teaches the students to stand up for what they believe in. The students need to know that no matter what the consequences are, you need to stand up for what is right. You may never know what you can make a change in this world.
