Harris, R. (1999). It's so amazing. Boston, MA: Candlewick Press.

Summary:

The bird and the bee are young and are receiving a lesson on sex, babies, labor, and the process of life. The bee was a bit uncomfortable during the lessons, but his friend, the bird, was mesmerized with all the information he was learning. Some of the lessons were confusing the bird and the bee, but they helped each other to understand what was being said. Although it was a lot of information to learn, and some of the lessons were awkward to talk about, there was a lot of knowledge gained.

Strength:

A lot of children are not adequately educated on the topics of sex. A lot of people think that speaking about sex is a bad thing, but if they took the time to have these conversations, there would be fewer pregnancies in the young population. This book is a great tool to educate young readers on the many topics of the process of life.
