Summary:

After losing his family because of murder, little nobody Owens finds himself being raised and educated by ghosts from the nearby graveyard. Little Bod encounters many different obstacles and requires a lot of help from his graveyard family. Bod finds himself to be lost and confused because he feels he doesn't belong in any of the worlds. The man who murdered Bods family wants to finish his job by killing Bod. Bod's friends and family come to his rescue and finally get rid of the person who killed his family. Finally, he was able to leave the protection of the graveyard and start a new life in the real world.






Strength:

The book helps children understand that problems will not go away on its own. There is no away around issues in life; the only thing you can do is face the problem face forward and defeat it. The students will learn that they are not alone in life. Some students don't have family, and they need to know that they are not alone.
