Summary:
Martina was a beautiful cockroach who lived in a lamp with her family. When she was 21 days old, she decided she was ready to give her leg in marriage. She got different gifts from her family, but the most important gift she got was the advise her grandmother gave her. Her grandmother told her to spill coffee in the suiters shoes, and that will show her how they react when they lose their temper. The word that Martina wanted to get married was spread, and the suiters started to come. Suiter after suiter left because they couldn't pass the coffee test. All that changed until she meets the brown mouse. The brown mouse spilled coffee on Martinas shoes to see her reaction, and that is when she realized that she had found the one she wanted to marry.
Strength:
The illustrations from the book give the students the visual image that is needed to understand the story. The story is funny and entertaining for the children. After reading the book, children will never see a cockroach again the same.
